In the computer world, a website is like a big playground for people to visit and do things on it, but in a DDoS attack, too many people try to visit the website at the same time, so it gets too busy and can’t let anyone else in.
There are different types of DDoS attacks, like when too many people visiting the website are pretending to be someone else, or when they are sending too many messages to the website at once. But they all have the same goal, which is to make it so the website can’t be used by anyone else.
It’s not a nice thing to do, and it can make people very upset. That’s why people work hard to try and stop DDoS attacks from happening.
